Re: Appreciation for your Community Service to the South Yuba River
Dear Markus,
On behalf of the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL), l would like to personally thank you for the help you have freely given in spear-heading the implementation of portable toilettes at Purdon Crossing and for your willingness commit your time and energy in managing the project over the last few years. The implementation of these toilettes has been critical in reducing the impact of human waste on the river and watershed from the increasing amount of visitors to Purdon Crossing. We look forward to working with you to develop a lasting solution to this problem.
SYRCL’s River Ambassador program has been informed by your intimate understanding of the complicated issues facing Purdon Crossing too. Your knowledge has helped to guide our actions and educational outreach. Through your engagement with numerous community members, public agencies and SYRCL we are better positioned to educate the many local and out of town visitors to Purdon. Through your diligence and commitment you are providing a great example of stewardship to the community. We look forward to continue to work with you as we expand and improve the River Ambassador program.
Furthermore, SYRCL would like to recognize your efforts in bringing attention to the devastation of illegal dredging to Bureau of Land Management land which has led to the adoption of pans and hands only below China Dam. This is another example of your attentiveness to support a healthy Yuba River.
Your voluntarism and dedication has proven to be an invaluable asset to our; community and to the River. Through your decisive actions the Yuba River has been kept cleaner and visitors have enjoyed healthier conditions. We here at SYRCL look forward to working with you to find solutions that improve the cleanliness, safety and health of Purdon Crossing for the enjoyment and benefit of the community.
Sincerely,
Caleb Dardick
Executive Director
